1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using SurfaceVector.com or any webpage that links to these Terms of Use (collectively, the “Site”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Additional terms may apply to a professional engagement, product, application, download, course, promotion, or third-party service. If a signed agreement or specific product terms conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms control for that subject.
2. Site operator
SurfaceVector is a brand operated by Demigon Holdings LLC (“Demigon,” “SurfaceVector,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). References to SurfaceVector do not identify a separate legal entity.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to enter into a paid engagement or make a purchase through the Site. If you use the Site for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for that organization and bind it to applicable terms.
4. Informational content
Articles, guides, reviews, demonstrations, threat information, training descriptions, product comparisons, and other Site content are provided for general informational and educational purposes. They are not legal, financial, medical, compliance, procurement, or other regulated professional advice.
Technology, threats, laws, product specifications, prices, availability, and standards change. You are responsible for independently verifying information before relying on it or making a decision. Site content is not a substitute for a written assessment of your particular environment.
6. Professional services and training
Site descriptions are invitations to discuss possible services and are not binding offers, guarantees, or commitments. Cybersecurity, AI engineering, consulting, training, or other paid work begins only after the parties agree to applicable scope, authorization, fees, responsibilities, and terms, ordinarily in a proposal, order, statement of work, or other written agreement.
Estimates, response times, outcomes, and schedules may change based on scope, access, dependencies, customer actions, third-party systems, and discovered conditions. No statement on the Site guarantees a particular security, compliance, business, or technical outcome.
7. Software, downloads, and AI-related materials
Unless a separate license expressly states otherwise, access to a tool, script, application, model configuration, download, or demonstration does not transfer ownership or grant a license to copy, modify, redistribute, reverse engineer, sublicense, or commercially exploit it. Open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses.
Software and AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, insecure, or unsuitable for a particular environment. Test materials in an isolated, authorized environment, review outputs, maintain backups, and use appropriate human oversight before production use. Do not submit secrets, credentials, regulated data, classified information, controlled unclassified information, or sensitive third-party data unless a specific written agreement and approved secure method cover that information.
8. Purchases, third-party sellers, and affiliate links
The Site may contain affiliate links and recommendations. SurfaceVector may earn a commission from qualifying purchases without increasing the price you pay. A recommendation or affiliate relationship is not a warranty, endorsement of every use, or guarantee of price, availability, compatibility, legality, safety, or performance.
Purchases from Amazon or another external seller are transactions between you and that seller and are governed by the seller’s terms, privacy policy, shipping rules, warranties, and return policy. SurfaceVector does not control third-party inventory, fulfillment, billing, refunds, or support.
Fees, payment terms, cancellations, refunds, licenses, and deliverables for services or products sold directly by Demigon will be stated in the applicable checkout terms, proposal, order, or written agreement.
9. Intellectual property
The Site and its original text, graphics, branding, design, organization, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Demigon and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, you may access the Site for personal or internal business evaluation purposes.
You may not reproduce, republish, scrape, frame, mirror, sell, or exploit a substantial portion of the Site; remove proprietary notices; or use SurfaceVector branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement without prior written permission. Fair use and rights granted by an applicable open-source or separate written license are not restricted by this paragraph.
10. User submissions and communications
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Demigon a non-exclusive right to host, store, reproduce, and use that content as reasonably necessary to respond to you, operate the Site, provide requested services, protect the Site, and comply with law.
You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that doing so does not violate law or another person’s rights. A general inquiry, email, or form submission does not by itself create a confidential, fiduciary, professional, or customer relationship. If confidentiality is required, request and execute an appropriate agreement before disclosing sensitive information.
11. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Use the Site in violation of law, these Terms, or another person’s rights.
- Attempt to bypass access controls, probe the Site without authorization, introduce malicious code, interfere with operation, or impose an unreasonable load.
- Use automated systems to harvest personal information, copy protected content at scale, or access the Site in a manner that violates published technical controls.
- Impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation, submit false information, or use the Site for spam, fraud, abuse, or harassment.
- Use Site content to create or facilitate unlawful intrusion, surveillance, theft, destructive activity, or harm.

We may modify, suspend, remove, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We do not guarantee continuous availability, compatibility, accuracy, or freedom from errors or harmful components. We may correct errors and update content without notice.
14. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SECURITY, OR RESULTS. DEMIGON DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEMIGON HOLDINGS LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY; OR COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THEIR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO DEMIGON FOR THE SPECIFIC SITE-BASED PRODUCT OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited. A separate signed agreement may establish different limitations for a professional engagement.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Demigon Holdings LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful or unauthorized use of the Site or its materials, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
17. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access to the Site when we reasonably believe use violates these Terms, threatens security or availability, exposes us or others to risk, or is otherwise unlawful or abusive. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory law that provides otherwise, the state and federal courts located in North Carolina will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from the Site or these Terms, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
19. General terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement concerning general use of the Site, except where separate terms apply. If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, transaction, or transfer of the Site or related business.
We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version and changing the “Last updated” date. Changes apply prospectively when posted unless a later date is stated. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
